Attention Scout Leaders!!
The Historical Society is a fantastic, inexpensive, local source for Scout badgework. Programs can be developed to meet specific badge requirements for nearly all levels.
Currently, we offer the Girl Scout programs “Rocks Rock!”, “Listening to the Past” and “Local Lore”. Cub Scouts enjoy the program “Communications”, which traces the progress of types of communication during the years, focusing on railroad signals and the telegraph.
Other programs can be developed at your request. Please remember that time will be needed for research, etc.
Don’t forget that Madison’s Bicentennial is this year! Please make an effort to attend events in the area throughout the year. We will be hosting a marble tournament during the “200 Hour Celebration” in June. Watch for details – times and dates may change due to snow days, etc.
